Our Mission
NJCAR stands for New Jersey Coalition of Auto Retailers, and together, we advocate on behalf of New Jersey’s $37B auto retail sector. The Coalition promotes public policies that ensure a fair and competitive marketplace, where the complex vehicle purchase process is made as simple and as seamless as possible.
New Jersey’s extensive network of 500+ neighborhood new car dealers represents a fiercely competitive marketplace, which keeps motorists safe by ensuring ready access to warranty and safety recall service.
It’s fair to say that New Jersey new car dealerships are the economic engine on Main Street. They promote economic growth across the State by employing more than 39,000 people in great local jobs and investing millions of dollars in their communities.

Advocacy
NJCAR advocates on behalf of New Jersey’s $35B auto retail sector. The Coalition promotes public policies that ensure a fair and competitive marketplace, where the complex vehicle purchase process is made as simple and as seamless as possible.

Training & Education
NJ CAR offers a variety of online webinars, as well as live seminars and workshops throughout the year.
These training sessions are specifically designed to address the unique business environment of automotive retailing and the Coalition strives to provide high-quality programs focused on ALL dealership departments.
Information
NJ CAR communicates with its members using a variety of hardcopy and digital tools, so dealers and their employees can engage with the Coalition WHERE they want, WHEN they want, and HOW they want.
The Coalition continues to build out its email lists of dealership personnel and maintains an active social media presence.
NJCAR also publishes a variety of hardcopy publications including an award-winning quarterly magazine, New Jersey Auto Retailer, an Economic Impact Report, a Health Benefits Report and much more.
These tools aim to keep dealers and their employees informed on important corporate matters and provides necessary information concerning national and State laws, as well as rules and regulations affecting the automotive business.
